Inquilab Manch convener and potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency Sharif Osman bin Hadi is battling for his life after being seriously injured in a terrorist attack. He is currently undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital on life support.
In this situation, Inquilab Manch activist and DUCSU member Fatima Tasnim Juma has made a sensational allegation. She claimed that the accomplices of those who tried to kill Osman Hadi had even gone to the hospital after the attack.
Fatima Tasnim Juma recently raised these allegations in her Facebook post. She said that even after two days of the incident, the failure to arrest the attackers raises questions about the goodwill of the law enforcement agencies.
Juma alleged, "The accused, who was already arrested once, has all the information with the relevant agencies. Even then, he cannot be identified or detained—this is not credible to us."
She also said that they believe that the person involved in the attack has not fled the country yet. Rather, he also expressed suspicion that there is a plan to evade responsibility or assist in his escape by creating the impression that the accused has fled.
Fatima Tasnim Juma said, "We believe that the accused is still in the country. An attempt is being made to get him off the hook by creating disappointment because he has fled, or a plan is underway to assist in his escape."
As the most serious allegation, she said that this attack was not the work of a single person. It was a planned operation by an organized syndicate.
She said, "This plan was not made by one person, nor was it executed by one person. The entire syndicate is still active. We have received information that the killers' associates had even gone to the hospital."
In the last part of her speech, she demanded that the security of all involved, including Osman Hadi, be strengthened. She said, "We want to see the entire syndicate arrested alive. The security of everyone, including Osman Bhai, must be strengthened. We are patiently enduring a lot, but that may not be possible for much longer.’
Meanwhile, public concern and anger are growing as the main accused in the attack on Osman Hadi have not yet been arrested. Various quarters are raising questions about the security arrangements and the progress of the investigation surrounding the matter.
