Two recognized batsmen Mehdi Hasan Miraj and captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto. Both played big shots and gave away wickets. There were not too many expectations for Bangladesh after that. Bangladesh's loss in the second innings of the Chennai Test was a matter of time. The story of miracles has not come much in Bangladesh cricket. Not even in Chennai. Bangladesh were all out for 234 runs. The Tigers fell shy of losing by the biggest margin in terms of runs against India.
Ravindra Jadeja got the last wicket. After this 280-run victory, there was not much excitement in the Indian camp. As if this was meant to be. Basically, the fate of the Chennai Test was confirmed after Bangladesh's innings ended on 149 runs on the second day. It was fulfilled in the following days. In terms of runs, Bangladesh's biggest loss to India was by 208 runs. The Tigers could not cover that shame in Chennai.
