Awami League President Sheikh Hasina secretly left the country after resigning from the post of Prime Minister on August 5 in the face of student-public movement. Then on that day the common people of Bangladesh went down the streets and cheered the victory. And today, BNP is holding a rally in the capital without any hindrance.
On Wednesday (August 7) in front of Nayapaltan BNP central office, the rally will officially start from 2 pm. Acting Chairman of BNP Tariq Rahman will participate virtually as the chief guest. And party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will preside.
After the resignation of Sheikh Hasina, BNP leaders and activists all over the country rejoiced. Meanwhile, BNP has been preparing a rally stage in front of Nayapaltan party office since Tuesday night. The party continued without any hindrance from the administration. And from this morning, the leaders and activists started gathering at the assembly place with a procession from different parts of the capital.

It can be seen that the environment around the office of the party has changed after going to the BNP rally ground on the ground. For the past decade, members of the law enforcement agencies including the police were seen surrounding the party's office. That scene is not seen today.
Meanwhile, banners and posters bearing the picture of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, freed by the order of the President, are being decorated at various places in the rally venue. Not only that, a banner-pastoon with the picture of the acting chairman of the party, Tariq Rahman, was also seen. Microphones have also been installed around the rally, up to the capital's Vijay Nagar water tank.
The BNP leaders and activists who came to the rally say that earlier they used to face obstacles on the way to the rally. Many times I was attacked. Besides, there would have been a possibility of arrest from the gathering place or from the way of coming and going. Today there is no such fear. I have been able to sleep peacefully at home for the past few days. There was no fear of arrest.
Meanwhile, it is being said from the microphone of the rally stage - today we are free. I have won. Now many opportunity seekers will want to join the team. They will want to create chaos among themselves. It cannot be allowed to happen.
Leaders and activists are being ordered from the stage to guard important buildings including the residence of the judge, Paltan police station.
