Flash marches in Sirajganj and Brahmanbaria, law enforcement agencies investigating

A flash march by leaders and activists of banned political organizations in Sirajganj and Brahmanbaria has created discussion and tension in the area. After videos of the processions went viral on social media in two separate incidents, law enforcement agencies have started investigating the matter.
A video of a flash march of some people wearing masks in the Sontala Bridge area of Ullapara Upazila in Sirajganj went viral on social media on Sunday morning. Eyewitnesses said that about 30 to 35 people suddenly marched on the bridge and raised various slogans. They left the place within a few minutes.
In this incident, Moktaruzzaman of Ullapara area said that after learning about the matter through social media and local sources, the police are working to identify the participants.
On the other hand, another flash march took place on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Shahbazpur area of Sarail Upazila. Local sources said that a few people participated in it and the video of the procession was later spread on social media.
Regarding the incident, Manjur Quader Bhuiyan said that one person has been arrested in this incident and work is underway to identify the others involved and take legal action.
Meanwhile, it is reported that counter-programmes were also held locally at night in protest against the Jhatika procession. The administration is on alert to maintain law and order.
