Jamaat Candidate Krishna Nandi Defeated by a Large Margin in Khulna-1

Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Krishna Nandi has been defeated by a margin of 50,434 votes in the Khulna-1 (Dakop-Batiaghata) constituency. Amir Ejaz Khan, contesting with the “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol, won the seat by a landslide.
The unofficial results were announced on Thursday night (February 12).
According to the results, Amir Ejaz Khan secured 120,092 votes with the Sheaf of Paddy symbol. His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate Krishna Nandi, received 69,658 votes.
Earlier on Thursday, voting began simultaneously at 42,779 polling centers across the country at 7:30 am. Although voter turnout was comparatively low in the morning, a significant increase in voter presence was observed as the day progressed. The participation of young voters was particularly noticeable.
Vote counting began shortly after polling ended at 4:30 pm.
