BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas said that a clique is trying to sabotage the elections in a planned manner in the country. However, no conspiracy of any kind will be tolerated. He warned that wherever there is a conspiracy, it will be resisted with a strong hand.
He said these things while speaking as the main speaker at a prayer and supplication ceremony organized for the forgiveness of the soul of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia at the Diploma Engineers Institute in Kakrail in the capital on Saturday (January 10) afternoon. At that time, he called on the leaders and activists to remain united.
Mirza Abbas said that if the party leaders and activists do not commit any kind of fraud, then no one will be able to stop the victory of BNP. Such a mass movement has been created across the country where no one has the power to defeat BNP. He claimed that the people of the country are not accepting any political party other than BNP at the moment, or even thinking about them. He expressed strong hope that BNP will ultimately win in the current political reality.
Mirza Abbas also commented that the Awami League and Sheikh Hasina will not be allowed to return to the country. He said that if there is an attempt to bring someone back to the country by force, it will be resisted. The people of this country will build that resistance. At the same time, he advised the party leaders and activists not to give in to any kind of provocation and urged them to continue the movement with patience and discipline.
Highlighting the political struggle of Begum Khaleda Zia, Mirza Abbas said that the uncompromising leader Begum Khaleda Zia has fought her whole life for the establishment of democracy and fair voting rights. She has also been subjected to torture from inside the jail. Sheikh Hasina tried to snatch many things from her, but she did not succeed. The spontaneous participation of millions of people in Begum Khaleda Zia's funeral proves how popular she is and how she has made a place in the hearts of the people.
Throughout the event, an emotional atmosphere was created among the BNP leaders and activists through the remembrance, prayers and supplications of Begum Khaleda Zia.
