Rashed resigns from Gana Odhikar, will contest elections under paddy sheaf symbol

It has been confirmed that Gana Odhikar Parishad Central General Secretary Md. Rashed Khan is going to join BNP. He will soon resign from his post and officially join BNP and will contest the upcoming national parliamentary elections under the paddy sheaf symbol.
Abu Hanif, the higher council member and media coordinator of Gana Odhikar Parishad, confirmed the matter on Friday (December 26) night. He said that Rashed Khan has already decided to resign and he can resign by Saturday or Sunday.
Abu Hanif said that after resigning from Gana Odhikar Parishad, Rashed Khan will join BNP and take up the party membership. After that, he will contest the elections under the paddy sheaf symbol as a BNP candidate. New discussions have started in the political arena around his decision.
Meanwhile, no final decision has been made yet on who will take over the post of Central General Secretary of Gana Odhikar Parishad after Rashed Khan's resignation. In this regard, Abu Hanif said that the matter will be discussed and a decision will be taken at the next meeting of the party's higher council.
According to political analysts, Rashed Khan's decision to join the BNP and contest the election on paddy straws could have a significant impact on the politics of the upcoming elections.
