DUCSU VP Sadiq Qayem has called for ensuring justice for those involved in the martyrdom of Sharif Osman Hadi and continuing the peaceful and united movement without giving in to any kind of provocation until the terrorist Awami fascism and Indian hegemony are uprooted.
He made this appeal to students and the public across the country in a post on his verified Facebook ID on Friday (December 19) afternoon.
In the Facebook post, Sadiq Qayem said, "Shaheed Hadi Bhai did not want to defeat fascist and hegemonic forces through any violence. His ideal was to defeat fascist and hegemonic forces with the power of intellect, thought and knowledge."
Regarding the implementation of Shaheed Osman Hadi's goals and ideals, he further said,
"Our struggle is long. The goal that Shaheed Hadi gave his life to achieve cannot be achieved through temporary tension or violence. Rather, any stubborn action will harm Shaheed Osman Hadi and our ongoing struggle.’
The DUCSU VP also said, ‘Therefore, I request the countrymen, do not fall into any trap and continue the movement peacefully by holding Shaheed Hadi brother in your heart.’
Meanwhile, the body of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Shaheed Osman Hadi is scheduled to reach Dhaka from Singapore on Friday evening.
