According to the court order, these properties will now be in the custody of the state and their ownership cannot be transferred or managed without further instructions from the court.
It is reported that the concerned parties may be summoned to present information related to the source of wealth and taxes in the next hearing of this case.
It is worth noting that Kazi Nabil Ahmed has been elected as a member of parliament from Jessore-3 (Sadar) constituency several times since 2008. As the head of the Gemcon Group, he has been running businesses in many sectors including media, education, agriculture, and construction in the country.
Political analysts believe that this order of attachment has given a new dimension to the anti-corruption campaign against the country's influential political and business families.
