BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said that the BNP's expectations regarding the election roadmap have not been fulfilled. He made these remarks at the inauguration ceremony of a medical camp organized by the Ziaur Rahman Foundation in the capital's Banani's Karail area on Wednesday.
The BNP standing committee member said that the main and first task of the interim government is to hold fair elections. And for that, some legal reforms, institutional reforms and field reforms are needed. We have observed and analyzed that in this case, the reforms should not take more than four to six months.
He said that if the government is sincere, elections are possible within four to six months. The people are waiting for the elections, so the reforms should be completed as soon as possible and the elections should be organized. This leader requested the interim government not to use any strategy in the democratic journey.
Salahuddin Ahmed said that many fascist accomplices have fled across the border due to the failure of various government agencies. Those who helped the comrades escape must be identified. The full return of the caretaker government system to the constitution is positive for the country and the nation.
