BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has commented that the incidents of fire occurring in different parts of the country are not mere accidents, but may be a planned conspiracy. He expressed this concern at a press conference organized at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan on Sunday.
Rizvi said, “How is such a big fire possible? The fire service vehicle is being detained by the airport authorities – is this just an administrative complication, or is there a deliberate conspiracy behind it?” He further alleged that a launch in Chittagong caught fire and the incidents of fire one after the other are not coincidences; this is deeply worrying the nation.
He said that attempts are being made to create instability in the country focusing on the government's election preparations, and said that there may be an intention to disrupt the organization of the elections by February. Rizvi also mentioned India's interference, saying that they do not want a stable political environment in Bangladesh and have always stood by the current government.
Rizvi promised to bring teachers under nationalization if the BNP comes to power and called on all anti-fascist political forces to unite to restore democracy in the country.
