National Poet's Grandson on Life Support, Physical Condition Deteriorates!

National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam's grandson Babul Kazi (59) has been kept on life support at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute due to his deteriorating physical condition.
Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman, resident physician at the institute's emergency department, said that life support was given in the ICU as his condition deteriorated on Saturday night. He had been undergoing treatment in the ICU since before.
How did the accident happen?
Babul Kazi was burned in an explosion at house number 109 on Road 23 in Banani, Dhaka around 5:30 am on Saturday. It is learned that the explosion occurred while he was lighting a cigarette in the bathroom, burning 74 percent of his body. Family members quickly brought him to the hospital.
Current medical condition
A 16-member medical board has been formed for Babul Kazi's treatment. Doctors said that his condition is very critical.
The family of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam has sought prayers from everyone in this difficult time.
