9 arrested in new case including former minister-MP!

Former ministers, MPs and other leaders have been arrested in a case filed by a separate police station in the capital in connection with the attack and murder during the anti-discrimination student movement.
In this new case, former Law Minister Anisul Haque, former Social Welfare Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, former ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak and 9 others have been arrested.
The other accused arrested are former Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Lt. Col. (Retd.) Mohammad Faruk Khan, former MP Haji Selim and his son former MP Solaiman Selim, former Supreme Court Appellate Division Justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, former DMP ADC Jewel Rana and Gazipur's Sreepur Municipality Jubo League President Abdur Rouf.
The accused were produced in court from jail on Wednesday morning. Later, the police applied through the investigation officers of the concerned police station to show their arrest.
For the state, Public Prosecutor (PP) Omar Faruk Farki of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court held a hearing in favor of showing the arrest. After the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam's court granted the application to show their arrest.
Arrests have been shown in various police stations in this case.
Dr. Dipu Moni, Junaid Ahmed Palak, Haji Selim and Col. (retd.) Faruk Khan have been arrested in the murder case of the capital's Adabor Police Station. Junaid Ahmed Palak and Jewel Rana were arrested in the attempt to murder case of the New Market Police Station. Anisul Haque and Solaiman Selim were arrested in the attempt to murder case of the Kotwali Police Station.
Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik has been arrested in the murder case of the Gulshan Police Station and Abdur Rouf has been arrested in the murder case of the Hatirjheel Police Station.
