AMM Nasir Uddin said, we have started preparing for the national election from the first day. We have all the preparations to conduct the election according to the time frame indicated by the Chief Advisor.
The Chief Election Commissioner said, the commission is giving priority to the National Assembly election. No instructions have been received from the Chief Advisor regarding the local government election yet.
He also said, the boundaries will be redrawn on the basis of fairness. If in the past, boundaries have been purposefully drawn to give or deprive any candidate, they will be investigated. In demarcation of boundaries, only the 2001 criteria or any specific current criteria will not be followed. The work will be completed in a fair and just manner.
Regarding the voter list, the CEC said, there are many inconsistencies in the current voter list. A revised final voter list will be prepared within two months. Information will be collected by going door to door to prepare the new list. Work will be done to remove dead voters from the list, verify information of absent or abroad voters, and identify duplicate voters and correct the list.
Regarding the roadmap, he further said that work will be done as per the instructions of the Chief Advisor. Although no roadmap will be officially announced, there will be an internal plan for the work of the Election Commission.
