3 KNF members were killed in a joint operation led by the army in Bandarban

It has been reported that three members of the armed wing of the Kuki Chin National Front (KNF) were killed in a gunfight with law enforcement forces in Roninpara of Ruma upazila of Bandarban and Paikxyongpara of Rowangchari. The incident took place on Sunday (May 19) afternoon at the Ruma-Roangchhari border. However, the names of the deceased have not yet been found.
According to local sources, this joint operation was conducted under the leadership of the army based on the information about the secret hideout of KNF in the deep forest of Debachra. After an hour-long exchange of fire, the dead bodies of two KNF members and another with bullet wounds were recovered from there. Later he too died. Meanwhile, after the incident, in order to ensure security in the area, besides strengthening the patrol, additional law enforcement personnel have been deployed.
Bandarban Superintendent of Police Raihan Kazemi told the media, "This incident took place in Debachra area near Roninpara of Ruma Upazila. I heard that three people were killed in the operation. The police went there to recover the bodies. Due to the remoteness of the area, there is no mobile connection. The bodies were recovered and taken to Bandarban Sadar Hospital morgue. will come."
In addition, Ruma Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) said. Atiqur Rahman said that three KNF members were killed in the joint operation. This incident happened in the border area of Rowanchari and Ruma. Ruma Army Zone participated in the joint operation. The joint forces will inform about this later.
