Natyajan Dulal of Chatmohar has been nominated as a member of Shilpakala Academy

Asaduzzaman Dulal, a prominent engraver, actor and cultural personality of Chatmohar Upazila of Pabna, has been nominated as a member of the Governing Council of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

In a notification issued by the Ministry of Culture on October 17, the government has constituted a 26-member governing council for a three-year term. Only Asaduzzaman Dulal from Rajshahi division got a place in this council.

Incidentally, Pran Asaduzzaman Dulal, who has been dedicated to drama for almost three and a half decades, has been composing, directing and acting in plays himself. Mamunur was involved with Rashid's Muktnatak. Several plays by Karandhar Dulal have been performed by a local theater troupe named Synodha Theatre. He performed plays with his troupe in different places of the country including Dhaka, Narayanganj. Professor Jamil Ahmed, the head of drama department of Jabi, the current director general of Shilpakala Academy, came to Chatmohar and watched Dulal's recital.

Asaduzzaman Dulal, son of late Keramat Ali Master, resident of Afratpara Mohalla of Chatmohar municipality. His father was also a teacher as well as acting in stage plays. Dulal is the creator of free plays, road plays and stage plays in Chatmohar.
Residents of Chatmohar are elated as they have been nominated as members of the Board of Directors of Shilpakala Academy. Many have congratulated and wished Dulal.
Chatmohar resident actor, playwright, director Brindavan Das, his wife actress Shahnaz Khushi, journalist and sometime theater colleague Abdul Mannan Palash, Raziur Rahman Rumi congratulated and congratulated him.
Zeman Asad, the director of Chitragriha Chatmohar, said, "The man who gave his whole life for drama. He deserved this honor while alive. We hope that Asaduzzaman Dulal, who grew the golden harvest of drama in the fertility of Chatmohar's soil, will play an enlightening role in the development of the country's art this time.
Dulal's one-time theater colleague and journalist Abdul Mannan Palash said, "It is a matter of honor for us. If Dulal had wanted, he could have gone to Dhaka many years ago and become a big drama director. But he did not leave the land of Chatmohar. He didn't want to grow up for his own sake, leaving the path drama. He has done plays for people quietly. It is also a pride to have such a person. We are excited about his achievement.
Asaduzzaman Dulal, who watched the drama sitting on his father's lap, said in his response, "I am a very ordinary person with a pet." Only loving Chatmohar is doing theater from a certain place. But I can't tell if it is theater. I have been with theater since 1985. I don't know if I am worthy of those who have given me a place in Shilpakala Academy. Will try to do something good. I will try to respect them.
