A rat was spotted on an IndiGo Airlines flight at Kanpur airport in Uttar Pradesh, India, causing the flight to take off nearly three hours late. This caused inconvenience to 140 passengers and airport authorities.

According to Indian media outlet NDTV, the flight was scheduled to depart from Kanpur for Delhi at 2:55 pm on Sunday (September 21). The passengers boarded at the scheduled time and everyone sat down. At that moment, a small rat was suddenly seen in the cabin of the plane.

As soon as the passengers caught sight of it, the animal started running wild throughout the cabin. As the situation became complicated, the authorities quickly brought all the passengers off the plane safely. After that, an operation was conducted to search for rats inside the plane for about an hour and a half.

The flight was scheduled to arrive in Delhi at 4:10 pm, but it finally took off from Kanpur at 6:03 pm and landed in Delhi at 7:16 pm.

Kanpur Airport Media Officer Vivek Singh said that the passengers were deboarded as a precautionary measure. The flight was delayed for the safety of the passengers.

The passengers had to suffer for several hours in this unexpected incident, but in the end, everyone reached their destination safely.
