Russia shaken by 7.4 magnitude earthquake

A powerful earthquake struck off the east coast of Russia's Kamchatka region on Saturday (September 13). The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake had a magnitude of 7.4 and its epicenter was about 40 kilometers deep. Reuters reported.
On the other hand, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) gave slightly different information, saying the quake had a magnitude of 7.1 and occurred just 10 kilometers deep.
A tsunami warning was issued immediately after the powerful earthquake. However, no casualties or major damage have been reported so far. Local authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
It is worth noting that earlier in July this year, a massive earthquake of 8.8 magnitude struck the same Kamchatka region. At that time, a tsunami warning was issued for the entire Pacific coast.
