Macron's tough message to Israel

French President Emmanuel Macron has condemned Israel's recent attacks on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon. He warned that his country will not tolerate such attacks. He said this at a joint press conference after a summit of EU member states on the Mediterranean.
Macron said the Israeli army had deliberately targeted UNIFIL soldiers, which was completely unacceptable. We condemn it. We will not tolerate a repeat of this.
Israeli forces shelled an observation post at the UN UNIFIL headquarters in Nakura, southern Lebanon, early Friday morning, Lebanon's state news agency National News Agency reported.
Two peacekeepers were injured in a similar attack last Thursday. Macron reiterated calls for a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, calling it "inevitable".
