Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and his wife Gauri Spratt have left for Australia after completing their wedding formalities. According to Indian media reports, the newlyweds have planned to spend time in Melbourne combining their professional trip with a personal vacation. The trip is also being seen as part of their honeymoon.
Their wedding took place on July 5 at Aamir Khan's residence in Bandra, Mumbai, in the presence of close relatives and friends. Instead of a grand ceremony, they held the ceremony in a family atmosphere. Before the wedding, Aamir himself had said that the ceremony would be small and at home.
Aamir and Gauri went to Australia within a few days of the wedding. The report says that Aamir will participate in professional programs associated with the Indian Film Festival held in Melbourne. At the same time, the newlyweds will also spend some personal time away from their busy schedule. However, their full itinerary has not been officially announced.
Aamir Khan's name is also in the nomination list of the 2026 Indian Film Festival. Several other Indian stars have been nominated with him in the Best Actor category. As a result, it is believed that the film festival-focused programs during the Australian tour may be Aamir's main professional engagement.
Aamir's relationship with Gauri Spratt came to light in 2025. The actor introduced Gauri as his partner at an event organized to mark his 60th birthday. Since then, they have been seen together at various events and family gatherings.
This is Aamir Khan's third marriage. Earlier, he was married to Reena Dutta and producer Kiran Rao. Indian media reported that his new life with Gauri began in the presence of children from previous relationships and close family members.
Bollywood fans are now excited about their post-wedding tour to Australia. However, the newlyweds have not officially declared the trip as a 'honeymoon'. Indian media is referring to it as a honeymoon, based on their plans to spend a personal vacation alongside their professional trip.
