After waiting for 12 hours, the police took the case of Tahir Zaman's murder

After waiting at the police station for more than 12 hours, the Newmarket police station has registered a case for the murder of photographer Tahir Zaman (beloved) during the quota reform movement.
The case was filed on Tuesday (August 21) by Samsi Ara Zaman, the mother of the victim.
The accused in the case are – former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah-Al Mamun, former DC of Ramna Zone Mohammad Ashraful Islam, former ADC of Ramna Zone Hafiz Al-Asad, former Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Newmarket Police Station Aminul Islam and Newmarket Zone Assistant Commissioner Refatul Islam.
On Wednesday (August 22), Joint Commissioner of DMP Israel Howlader confirmed this information.
He said that a case has been filed at the New Market police station regarding the death of photographer Tahir Zaman (beloved) during the quota reform movement. Investigation into the case is ongoing.
Earlier, Tahir Zaman's mother Samsi Ara Zaman waited at the police station for more than 12 hours from Tuesday morning to file a case of killing her son.
Earlier, young photographer Tahir Zaman was shot dead on July 19 on Dhaka's Green Road while protesting against quota reforms. He was once a video journalist for a news portal called The Report.Live.
