56 BGB seizes four ownerless Indian cows at Boda border

Border Guard Bangladesh (56 BGB) has seized four ownerless Indian cows from the Dhamerghat border in Boda upazila of Panchagarh. The estimated value of the seized cows is around 4 lakh taka.
A special patrol team of Dhamerghat BOP conducted an operation under the direction of the commander of Nilphamari Battalion (56 BGB) in the Laheripara area of Boda upazila early on Thursday (November 27). The patrol team, led by Naib Subedar Md. Nazrul Islam, seized four abandoned cows illegally brought from India during an anti-smuggling patrol in the area adjacent to border pillar 770/1-S.
The BGB has informed that regular operations and intelligence surveillance have been strengthened to prevent smuggling at the Boda border. 56 BGB is in a strict position to prevent any kind of smuggling including drugs and cattle. The zero tolerance policy against smuggling will continue in the future.
