Four drug dealers including two women arrested in Tangail

The District Detective Police (DB-North) arrested two sellers of banned phensidyl worth around Tk 10.5 lakh from Bangabandhu Setu East Railway Station area on Monday (November 4) morning and raided Tangail city's Dakshin Collegepara on Sunday (November 3) around 10:30 pm. Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-14) arrested two women sellers with 187 grams of heroin.
It is known that a team of the District Intelligence Police (DB-North) conducted a raid on Bangabandhu Setu-Dhaka highway in the area of ​​Setupurba railway station around 4 am on Monday morning. During the operation, the covered van was searched and two sellers were arrested along with 350 bottles of banned Indian Phencidil worth around Tk 10.5 lakh. At that time, the two drug dealers ran away after sensing the presence of the detective police.

The arrested are - son of Farhad Molla of Lohagara upazila of Narail district. Chanchal Molla (27) and Khitish Chandra Roy (37) son of Ashwini Kant Roy of the same upazila. The drug dealers who ran away are Rahim (42) of Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat district and Shamim (45) of Rangpur district.
District Intelligence Police (DB-North) Officer-in-Charge ABMS Doha confirmed the matter and said that on Monday morning, on the basis of secret information, District Intelligence Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. A vigilante team led by Monir Hossain conducted a raid in the Setupurba railway station area of ​​the Bangabandhu Bridge-Dhaka highway. Meanwhile, while transporting drugs in a covered van, the mentioned two people were arrested along with 350 bottles of Phencidil. The other two ran away. Covered vans transporting narcotics were seized and a case was filed against them at Bangabandhu Setu East Police Station and sent to court.

On the other hand, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-14) arrested two women sellers with 187 grams of heroin on Sunday (November 3) at around 10:30 pm in Tangail city's South Collegepara. RAB-14 has confirmed the matter through a press release.

The arrested heroin sellers are - Md. of Dulla village of Delduar upazila of Tangail. Farhad Mia's wife Shahida Akhter (36) and Md. of the same area. Litton Mia's wife Rita Begum alias Banu (38).

Media Officer of CPC-3 of RAB-14, Assistant Superintendent of Police Abdul Hai Chowdhury said in a press release that on the basis of secret information, a group of RAB raided the house of one Rafiq OC in South Collegepara of the city and arrested the mentioned two women sellers with 187 grams of heroin.

He also said that during the operation, two lakh 15 thousand cash, three android and four button mobile phones were also seized from them. The arrested have been handed over to Tangail Sadar Police Station.
