Teacher's fake certificate proven in Tentulia, disciplinary action taken

The allegation of a teacher of Nawapara Adarsh High School in Tentulia upazila of Panchagarh using a fake certificate to work for a long time has been proven. After the matter came up in the investigation, administrative and disciplinary action has been taken against her.
The investigation report of the Directorate of Inspection and Audit (DIA) of the Ministry of Education said that the certificate submitted by Assistant Teacher (Computer) Mosha. Fatema Jannah regarding computer training was proven to be fake after verification. The report mentioned that she had been working on the basis of that certificate for more than 22 years.
The investigation also revealed that since she was enrolled in the MPO till now, she has withdrawn a total of 19 lakh 98 thousand 561 taka from the government treasury as salary and allowances. This money has been identified as refundable as per government rules. At the same time, the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHHE) has started the process of canceling her appointment and MPO.
In this regard, the Ministry of Education has ordered to file a criminal case against teachers with fake certificates and a show cause notice has been issued within 10 working days, sources said.
The school's headmaster Md. Rezaul Karim, who is also the husband of the accused teacher, said that objections had already been raised regarding the validity of the certificate and a show cause notice had been filed multiple times. He claimed that the necessary documents had been submitted and responded. However, he also said that allegations of irregularities had also been raised from some quarters.
On the other hand, the investigation report clearly states that the certificate is fake and administrative proceedings are underway accordingly. Extensive discussions have started in the education administration on the issue.
