Former VP of Daksu and president of Gana Odhikar Parishad Nurul Haque Noor. He very ably guided the coordinators of the recent quota reform movement. He is the one who cooperated in all the activities from behind. The police arrested Noor on the basis of information that he had incited the quota movement.
After that, when he was asked various questions about this movement, he gave this information to Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB).
Several responsible officials of DB said that Noor has experience in the quota movement of 2018. In this movement he gained a great experience of involving ordinary students. Later he also started a political party.
He kept in touch with the coordinators from behind in this quota movement. Not only that, he brought a large amount of money from several countries in the Middle East to make the quota movement a success. He gave a part of this money, about 65 lakhs, to the leaders of Gana Odhikar Parishad in three areas of Dhaka, Badda, Mirpur and Lalbagh. So that they send different logistics to the quota movement agitators.
This information is known from the responsible official sources related to Noor's case.
On July 18, the court ordered Nurul Haque Noor to be sent to jail after a five-day remand in the case of arson and car vandalism in the capital's Setu Bhavan. Noor's family has complained in the court that he was subjected to inhuman torture. When the police produced Nurul Haque Noor in court on Sunday (July 28) in a case of violence, the court again granted her five-day remand. Earlier, DB arrested Nurul Haque Noor from a house in Badda area of the capital during the quota movement.
In this regard, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner (DB) Mohammad Harun Or Rashid said, "We have received information that Noor has traded money in various places during the quota reform movement. We will also bring those involved in this under the law. '
A responsible officer of the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police related to Noor's case said that Noor has kept a large part of the large amount of money that came from the Middle East country in his own pocket. A part of it 65 lakh taka has been delivered to different places. With this money water, biryani, cloth shoes were provided to the rioters. Besides, with that money, people were hired from different places of Dhaka to do violence with the police.
According to related sources, Noor was involved in this quota movement from the beginning. Noor had a meeting with the quota coordinators every day and night at a house in Rampura, Dhaka. One of the coordinators of the quota movement, Nahid and Sarjis Alam, was not contacted on Noor's mobile phone. However, he spoke to others on the phone. As the reason for not contacting Nahid on the phone, he told the interrogation that he did not talk to the two people on the phone to avoid the eyes of the law enforcement agencies.
According to sources, he has managed the coordinators behind the scenes to ensure that the quota movement is only a student movement. During interrogation, he said that the various programs of the quota movement were given by the coordinators in consultation with him. Noor claimed that their plan to attract everyone's attention by giving a program in a different form without giving any program like the political parties has been successful.
According to sources, Noor had initially advised the coordinators of the quota movement not to involve any party in the movement. He assured the coordinators that when the movement is on the brink of success, his party and other opposition parties will be involved. He took this responsibility himself. As part of this, Noor held a meeting at the Uttara residence of a senior leader of the opposition party on the night of July 13. A former MPO of Lakshmipur district who was arrested in the recent violence was also present in that meeting.
Meanwhile, the investigating officers have started field-level investigation in the case of arson and vandalism in Metrorail. They have found the connivance of a vested interest in the metro rail violence in preliminary investigations. If necessary, they will also be interrogated by the investigators
