Agitators clash with Chhatra League in Chittagong, 2 killed

Two people were killed in a clash between Chhatra League and Jubo League students who were agitating for quota reforms in government jobs in Chittagong. 9 more people were injured in this incident. The incident happened on Tuesday (July 16) around 4 pm.
It has been reported that from 3 pm on this day, clashes between Chhatra League and Jubo League started with the quota agitators in the area around Muradpur, Gate No. 2 and Sholashar. A student of Chittagong College and a pedestrian were killed in this. A fight is going on between quota activists and Chhatra League in Sholshahar Education Board area. Quota agitators have taken up position in Muradpur part.
CMP Commissioner Saiful Islam said, one of the victims was a student of Chittagong College, another was a pedestrian. The bodies of both are in the emergency department morgue of Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
It is to be noted that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said in the press conference organized about the visit to China regarding the quota reform movement, 'Why is there so much anger about the liberation war? The grandsons of the freedom fighters will get nothing, so will the grandsons of Razakar get everything?' The students of Dhaka University started protesting on Sunday night, alleging that quota reform activists were called "children or grandchildren of Rajakar" by the Prime Minister's speech. Then the movement spread across the capital. Now that movement has spread across the country.
