Leaders and activists gather in BNP's victory procession on July Uprising Day in Bogra

A huge victory procession was organized by the district BNP in Bogra as part of the central program on the occasion of July Uprising Day. The procession started from Altafunnesa playground in Bogra city on Wednesday (August 6) afternoon and circled important roads in the city before ending at the party office on Nababbari Road.
With the participation of thousands of leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates in the procession, the city's roads practically turned into a sea of people. Due to the large crowd, traffic on various roads was stopped. The entire city became filled with drums, musical instruments, placards, festoons and slogans.
Before the procession began, a discussion meeting was held at Altafunnesa playground. District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha presided over it. He said, “While trying to eliminate the student-public movement to prevent Hasina’s fall, unspeakable barbaric crimes against humanity were committed on her orders. A new sun has risen in the sky of the country through the fall of dictator Hasina in the July mass uprising.”
The discussion meeting was conducted by Alhaj Mosharraf Hossain, acting general secretary of the district BNP. Other speakers at the meeting included advisory board member Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, advocate AKM Mahbubur Rahman, central executive committee member VP Saiful Islam, Ali Azgar Talukder Hena, Joynal Abedin Chan, advocate Saiful Islam, MR Islam Swadhin, Ahsanul Tayyab Zakir, Maftun Ahmed Khan Rubel, Sheikh Taha Uddin Nine, Shahid Un-Nabi Salam, KM Khairul Bashar, and others.
Also present were Advocate Hamidul Haque Chowdhury Hiru, Jahangir Alam, Abu Hasan, Mukul Sarkar, Rakibul Hasan Shuvo, Habibur Rahman Sandhan, Nazma Akhter, Engineer Saiful Islam Roni and Enamul Haque Sumon, along with district and police station level leaders and activists.
From noon, leaders and activists from different upazilas and unions of the district started entering the city in processions and gathered at Altafunnesa playground. After gathering there, they took part in the victory procession, adorned with music, slogans and colorful banners. The melody of the movement seemed to be playing throughout the city—‘Victory of July, respect for martyrs, revival of democracy!’
