6 killed, 1 injured as microbus falls into canal in Noakhali

Six people have lost their lives in a horrific road accident in Chandraganj Purba Bazar area of Begumganj upazila of Noakhali. The tragic accident occurred at around 5:30 am today, Wednesday (August 6).
Fire Service sources said that 6 people died on the spot when a microbus lost control and fell into a canal on the side of the road. Another person was seriously injured in the accident. He has been admitted to a local hospital.
Upon receiving the news of the accident, a rescue unit from Chaumuhani Fire Station quickly reached the spot and started rescue work. Fire Service members reached the spot at 6:05 am and conducted rescue operations.
Although the cause of the accident is not yet confirmed, it is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle during the early morning hours. The identities of the deceased have not yet been revealed. The local administration has informed that necessary measures will be taken. This tragic accident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area.
