80 bottles of foreign liquor arrested drug dealer

On Tuesday (October 29) morning, on the basis of secret information, raids were conducted in Ganipur area of Choumuhani municipality of Noakhali, along with 80 bottles of foreign liquor. A drug dealer named Noor Mohammad (51) was arrested by the District Intelligence Branch (DB).
According to DB Police, Noor Mohammad has been involved in buying and selling drugs for a long time. He is the son of deceased Chan Mia of Chakina's paternal house in East Maijchara village of Ward No. 4 of Underchar Union of Noakhali Sadar Upazila.
According to DB Police sources, the District Intelligence Branch (DB) conducted an operation in the Ganipur area of Choumuhani Municipality after receiving secret information. In this operation, 80 bottles of foreign liquor were seized from Noor Mohammad.
DB police sources also said that drug dealer Noor Mohammad collected a large amount of drugs from the border area of Comilla district and brought them to Noakhali. He told RAB during initial interrogation that he was transporting these drugs in different ways and supplying them to the retail drug dealers of Noakhali district.
Noakhali Intelligence Branch (DB) Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Ashraf Uddin told Morenews that Noor Mohammad was waiting by bringing drugs from Comilla. We arrested him red-handed. A case has been registered at Begumganj Model Police Station. He has a previous drug case against him. He will be handed over to the District Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court this afternoon.
