A terrible fire broke out at a petrol pump at Joymonirhat in Bhurungamari, Kurigram. 18 thousand liters of petrol including 2 lorries of Meghna and Yamuna Petroleum got burnt in the fire.
On Thursday (September 19) around 5:30 in the morning, the petrol pump caught fire.
It is known that 2 lorries of Meghna and Yamuna Petroleum caught fire while unloading petrol. On receiving the information, 2 units of Nageshwari Fire Service were able to bring the fire under control after about 45 minutes of effort.
Nageshwari fire station leader Shah Alam told More News that initially we received information about two lorries and oil burning. The exact amount of damage will be ascertained when higher authorities arrive.
