Why beat Hero Alam, hold him by the ear

Content creator Ashraful Alam alias Hero Alam was attacked in the court premises in Bogra. At this time, he was held up by the ear. Hero Alam claimed that BNP people attacked him.

The attack took place at the District Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court around 12 noon on Sunday (September 8). A few youths attacked BNP Acting Chairperson Tariq Rahman.

Hero Alam filed a case in Bogra Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court at 11:00 a.m. during campaigning in Bogra-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) constituency in the 2018 National Assembly election and rigging the by-election in the same constituency on February 1, 2023. Obaidul Quader, former Member of Parliament of Bogra-4 Constituency Rezaul Karim Tansen and former Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal were accused in the case.

After filing the case, at around 12 noon Hero Alam ambushed Tariq Rahman by accusing 5 to 7 youths of taunting him while he was talking to reporters about the case. At that time, they beat Hero Alam and took him to the road outside the court premises and held him by the ear.

After being beaten up, Hero Alam told reporters, "After the fall of a dictatorship, another group has started its own terrorist activities. Is this freedom? Attempts were made to kill me publicly. I never insulted Tarek Zia. DB Haroon held my family hostage and filed a case against Rizvi Sahib. I have said this before. Yet I was beaten in front of you in a court-like place. All those who carried out this attack have footage. They will be identified and action will be taken against them.

Regarding the filed case, Hero Alam said, "I was attacked in the last 2018 national elections and 2023 by-elections." My vote was rigged. I have filed a case in court against 39 people on these charges.

However, Hero Alam denied the allegations of abuse against Tariq Rahman and said that the attackers would be identified and take legal recourse.

In this regard, District BNP General Secretary Ali Azgar Talukdar Hena said, We have seen a video of Hero Alam being beaten on social media. Those who beat him are not BNP. Allegations against BNP are baseless.
